This deep-penetrating, luxurious mixture cleans, nourishes, and helps detoxify the skin. In turn, the skin is better able to absorb moisture and is prepared to receive further therapeutic treatments. Mud treatments are best used to exfoliate dead skin cells, soothe pruritic (itchy) skin, calm inflamed skin, and enhance circulation to aide in skin repair. Mud treatments also help moisturize skin as they are infused with jojoba, olive, and macadamia oils.

A deep conditioning treatment revitalizes dry, damaged, brittle hair by boosting its natural ability to absorb and retain moisture. It is a combination of jojoba, macadamia oil, emollients, humectants, and proteins, and instantly provides a deep conditioning to the hair and skin once applied. Skin will be energized and improve in softness, suppleness, and elasticity. Your pet will not know what to do with all the extra attention it will receive due to its revitalized skin and hair coat.
Hot oil treatments soak into split ends of fur, smoothing them and promoting repair of the damaged hair shaft. It also conditions the skin and temporarily softens and moisturizes your pet’s fur. It is ideal for use after a bath to a pet that is not getting a haircut.
Since we are owned and operated by veterinarians, Polished Paws Salon & Boutique has access to a complete veterinary line of medicated shampoos. These shampoos are massaged into your pet’s coat for a minimum of 10 minutes and are followed by a cool rinse. Medicated shampoo effects are amplified when combined with a sauna wrap. Should your pet have a medical skin condition, please consult with one of our bathers or stylists for recommendations as to what shampoo is best.
Our hypoallergenic crème rinse conditions the hair coat and skin without fragrances and other allergy-producing ingredients. This crème rinse aids in eliminating tangles, improving overall manageability of the hair coat, and moisturizing the fur and skin. It is exceptionally beneficial for dry, flaky, and itchy skin.
This service is similar to a sauna wrap, but designed to complement our conditioning crème rinse. Moist heat is used to open pores, allowing the crème rinse to better penetrate the skin. As with the crème rinse, it is best for dry, flaky, and itchy skin.
Pets suffering from dry, damaged hair coats or those struggling with excessive matting are excellent candidates for our hair repair treatment. This service includes a hydrating shampoo, a deep conditioner, a rehydrating finishing spray, and is completed with a sauna wrap. It can be added to any grooming service.
Regular teeth brushing will promote good overall pet oral health. If done appropriately, you can manage your pet’s plaque, slowing the progression of tartar build up that can lead to periodontal disease. We use a soft-bristled, angled head toothbrush with enzymatic vanilla mint toothpaste. This service can be added to any grooming service or can be done on a walk-in basis. Routine home dental care should be a part of every pet’s health care program. Ask our knowledgeable staff if you have any questions regarding how to brush your pet’s teeth at home; we would be happy to demonstrate an appropriate brushing technique.
Maintaining an appropriate nail length will help your pet walk comfortably and will aid in traction on slippery surfaces. Nail trims are included with all of our grooming services or can be done on a walk-in basis.
